The scenario of the shows of the new 2024 edition will be four locations of particular cultural and historical-artistic value in the cities of Fossombrone, Urbino, Macerata Feltria and Acqualagna. All shows are free to enter.

The “La Culla” project is proposed as an ideal container where choreographic creativity comes to life, to encourage a dialogue between the historical-artistic heritage and the universal language of dance. The objective is to spread the culture of dance and promote an accessible and transversal expressive language. The project includes the Forum Dance dance internship organized by the two Dutch choreographers, Thom Stuart and Rinus Sprong, co-artistic directors of the DeDDDD company, who will lead the training course aimed at involving young dancers from the Marche region. The stage will include the experimentation of choreographic forms within monumental sites of the area and the staging of a production of the contemporary repertoire of Jiri Kylian and of an ensemble made up of professional Dutch dancers and young dancers from the Marche region.

The first show entitled “Passion” will be held on Thursday 4 July, at 9pm, in Fossombrone in the evocative setting of the church of San Filippo, a splendid example of baroque architecture and the ideal venue for interacting with expressions of contemporary art. The students of Studio Movimento Danza will perform together with the DeDDDD Company.

On Sunday 7 July, at 9pm, the event moves to Urbino, the cradle of the Renaissance, with the “Dream dance” show. The students of Studio Movimento Danza together with the DeDDDD Company and the dancer Luigi Imperato will go on stage at the Sanzio Theater, one of the historic theaters that best synthesizes classical architecture with contemporary architecture. The staging of this show will encourage an interpretation of the places that combines architecture and dance.

The shows in Macerata Feltria and Acqualagna, entitled “The ring” and “Relax, no relaxation”, are scheduled for autumn, with dates to be defined.

“La Culla” has an experimental and innovative attitude and constitutes an effective opportunity to promote and enhance the art of contemporary dance in the young generations, as an expressive tool capable of enhancing the cultural heritage of the territory through artistic contaminations and new interpretations and suggestive that create a union between art, culture, territory and dance.
The collaboration with the Dutch dance company DeDDDD, made up of a group of young talents who have just graduated, between 18 and 22 years old, who join the company to gain experience and grow as artists, is crucial in the project. Specifically, in the “La Culla” exhibition, all young artists under 35 will be involved, of which 8 come from Holland and one in particular lives in Fossombrone, with experience in the international field.
