Modica, tonight the traditional San Pietro concert by Belluardo-Risadelli –

The traditional concert of San Pietro will be held this evening at 8.45pm, on the splendid staircase, on the occasion of the celebrations of the Patron Saint Peter.

The concert will see the members of the Modica City Band “Belluardo-Risadelli” performed by Maestro Corrado Civello together with the following musicians:

• M°CORRADO GIUFFREDI (internationally renowned clarinetist, as well as first solo clarinet of the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana and clarinet teacher at the Modena conservatory);
• M°ANDREA GIUFFREDI (internationally renowned trumpeter who boasts collaborations with international conductors and musicians as well as being a trumpet teacher at the Claudio Abbado Civic School of Music in Milan);
• M°FULVIO CREUX (director and profound expert on musical bands in Italy and around the world, former director of the national bands of the GG FF and the ITALIAN ARMY as well as an internationally renowned composer);
• some members of the youth orchestra of the Caltanissetta State Conservatory and some teachers of the same institute in agreement with the free music school of the Modican band.

The concert was strongly desired and organized in collaboration with: the municipal administration, the committee of the celebrations in honor of St. Peter as well as the Parish Priest, the Sicily Region and the Regional ANBIMA.

“Such an event -explains Maestro Corrado Civello- it aims to be the continuity of a cultural and musical tradition that must be preserved and handed down, such as the Traditional Concert on the occasion of the celebrations in honor of St. Peter on the Sunday before the liturgical feast day of June 29th. This year I wanted to give a solo approach different from previous years by inviting not one singer, but two instrumentalists, in addition to Maestro Creux (honorary citizen of Modica), with whom, among other things, we have been collaborating for almost two years. This was helpful for my personal musical growth and also and above all for that of the Band”.
