VILLA MINOZZO (Reggio Emilia) – A 63-year-old man is fighting between life and death in the intensive care unit of the Maggiore hospital in Parma. According to what has been reconstructed, he was attacked with a bar in his home.
The Carabinieri have started investigations to trace the alleged perpetrator, wanted on suspicion of aggravated assault, and to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the facts. It is thought to be a dispute between neighbors. According to what the Ansa agency reports, there are two suspects, father and son, but at the moment there have been no arrest orders or other measures by the Reggio prosecutor’s office. The 63-year-old, of La Spezia origin but resident in Emilia for about ten years, lives in the hamlet of Morsiano, in via Bondi, in the rooms created from the former dairy factory near the church of the village hamlet.
It was a neighbor who raised the alarm around 8pm yesterday: when he entered the house, he saw the 63-year-old unconscious lying on the ground in a pool of blood. He had injuries in different parts of his body. The medics sent by 118 provided initial treatment and then loaded the injured man onto the helicopter and transported him to the Major. His condition is very serious and the prognosis remains reserved. The attack may have occurred in the previous days. The Carabinieri of Villa Minozzo conducted the investigations together with colleagues from the Castelnovo Monti operational unit.
