The regional manager for transparency of local authorities of Codacons Giuseppe Di Rosa will be heard on June 26th by the regional anti-mafia commission.
The news was given by the former city councilor himself, who had requested to be heard last February. The body, of which party colleague Ismaele La Vardera is vice-president (Di Rosa is in fact close to the positions of South calls North) has scheduled the appointment today.
In the note released by Di Rosa himself, it is already anticipated that the topic will be the alleged series of anomalies in the management of the municipality of Agrigento by the Micciché administration and events that have already been the subject of the attention of the investigative bodies. Citing what is included in the public calendar of the commission’s work, the hearing will focus “on the reports presented by the commission and relating to the Municipality of Agrigento”.
The reference is clearly to the investigation that led to the arrest of the mayor’s former chief of staff Gaetano Di Giovanni, the involvement in another proceeding outside Agrigento of two consultants for the urban planning sector as well as events such as the “SUV case” which led to the conviction in first and second degree by the Court of Auditors of Di Giovanni and a municipal employee.
Di Rosa has been calling for the dissolution of the Municipality for some time due to infiltration.
