Calabria is ready to shine once again with the return of the Miss Italia Calabria selections, the highly anticipated event that will crown the new beauty ambassador of our Region. Organized by the Carli Fashion Agency and directed by the regional exclusives Linda Suriano and Carmelo Ambrogio, this prestigious competition offers the winner a direct ticket to the Miss Italia regional finals.
This year, Calabria has already marked a record, being the first Region to open the 85th edition of Italy’s longest-running and most prestigious beauty contest with a spectacular event during the Castrovillari Carnival. The event culminated with the crowning of Miss Carnival of Castrovillari, kicking off a season that promises to be unforgettable. The second stage of the selections will take place on Sunday 23 June in via Carlo Alberto dalla Chiesa (9.30 pm), in the square adjacent to the “Al terrazzo” restaurant in the municipality of Rose, and on this occasion Miss Egea will be elected.
The Miss Italia competition, which has always been committed to the promotion of positive values and the elevation of the female figure, stands out this year for particular attention to the talent of the aspiring misses. In addition to the elegance and grace of the participants, the contest aims to discover and enhance the passions, skills and personal aspirations of each competitor.
During the evening, the aspiring misses will have the opportunity to perform in various disciplines, highlighting their artistic, cultural and professional skills and showing the public and the jury their uniqueness and versatility. The competition represents an unparalleled opportunity to get involved, grow personally and contribute to the promotion of your Region. The competition does not offer a stage to the future ambassadors of beauty and grace of tomorrow, but is also committed to promoting a positive image of Calabria, enhancing its cultural, artistic and social riches.
Linda Suriano and Carmelo Ambrogio express great enthusiasm for this new adventure: «We have reached our tenth year. We contributed to the organization of the pre-finals in Calabria and the finals in Salsomaggiore, collaborating with the national team. The New Style Academy of Cosenza, under the expert guidance of Franca Trozzo, has reinterpreted traditional clothing with a modern twist, transforming ancestral fabrics and designs into works of art that unite past and present. These creations will dress the contestants of Miss Italia Calabria, embodying the elegance and innovation of a Region that knows how to look to the future without forgetting its roots.
The show, with the artistic direction of Linda Suriano, lyrics by Francesca Marchese, choreography by Lia Molinaro, and numerous musical guests will not only be an event of beauty, but an immersive experience, where every dance step and every note will tell a story of the history and wonders of Calabria. A distinctive element of this edition will be the exclusive theme song created by singer-songwriter Roberto Bozzo, a tribute that embodies the vibrant and authentic spirit of the competition.
This year, which marks the tenth anniversary of the Suriano-Ambrogio direction, the final will be held in Oriolo, with Elisabetta Gregoraci as exceptional godmother. It will be possible to follow the various stages live on the Miss Italia Calabria Facebook page and YouTube channel and in replay on the official Ten TV.
