VARESE – Once again he colored Varese with a rainbow river to the rhythm of music at full volume. The procession of Pride 2024 kicked off in Piazza Monte Grappa around 5pm today, Saturday 22 June, with large participation in the streets of the city centre. The event is organized by Arcigay Varese in favor of the rights of the LGBT community and takes place in partnership with the Municipality of Varesewith the patronage of the University of Insubria and the Canadian Embassy in Italy and with the participation of other local entities.

The political manifesto

The organizers also published a political manifesto of the event, because in addition to being a moment of celebration, Pride also wants to be an opportunity to ask for equal rights. Varese Pride recognizes and promotes every form of family and asks for fullness recognition of same-parent families, of equal marriage and asks that the birth certificates of the children of rainbow families be transcribed. Pride also asks for the adoption support of LGBT people, supports trans subjectivities, calls for safe spaces, claims the fundamental right to health and stands against all forms of war and oppression.

The procession ends at the Estensi Gardens, where the Varese Pride Night, with music, entertainment and guests.
