ANCONA – The extraordinary ‘High Impact’ services arranged in Ancona, in the Piano San Lazzaro district, by the Doric Quaestor Cesare Capocasa, in agreement with the Prefect Saverio Ordine, continue unabated, with the aim of maintaining high and constant attention to combat urban decay, in this area at greatest risk of crime.

The intensification of the territorial control activity implemented with checkpoints and garrisons in the most crucial points of the neighborhood, where episodes of widespread crime and uncivilized behavior are often recorded which contribute to increasing the sense of insecurity of the residents, has seen the deployment of numerous policemen from the Police Headquarters of Ancona, the Crime Prevention Department of Perugia, the XV Flight Department of Pescara, the Traffic Police and a team of the anti-drug dog squad.

In the last six months, 25 services have been implemented with the use of approximately 500 men and women of the State Police engaged in activities to prevent and combat widespread and predatory crime, control of people, vehicles and public establishments, verification of subjects subjected to measures restrictive of personal freedom and foreigners residing illegally in the area. They were checked in six months 2,663 people, of which 696 with police records, 1,300 vehicles with 22 high fines for violating the Highway Code. The checkpoints carried out were 154 And 39 the controlled commercial establishments.

In order to combat incivility and illegality, they were adopted by the Police Commissioner 11 prevention measuresin particular 8 Mandatory Street Sheets and 3 DACUR, while 30 subjects subjected to home detention, or placed on probation, were checked. The anti-drug dog team operated through foot and self-mounted patrols throughout the Corso Carlo Alberto area and in Piazza Ugo Bassi to prevent and combat the taking and dealing of narcotic substances. In this context, 20 grams of hashish-type narcotic substances were seized and 6 subjects reported to the Prefecture.

The administrative checks carried out at the commercial establishments in the neighborhood allowed for an increase 22 administrative sanctions equal to 10,000 euros, in particular for irregularities concerning food preservationthe lack of daily recognition of easily perishable products and the failure to comply with the HACCP manual. Furthermore, poor hygiene and food storage conditions were found in various supermarkets, mostly ethnic ones, so much so that with the assistance of the staff of the AST – Hygiene and Public Health Office, approximately 100 kg of fruit and vegetables were destined for destruction. A temporary 7-day suspension of the license was adopted for 2 public businesses, pursuant to art. 100 of the TULPS. In particular, on several occasions it was ascertained by the Flying Squads that within those establishments there were patrons in a state of drunkenness and others burdened by numerous police prejudices and criminal records for crimes against person, assets and narcotics. The Commissioner, in light of the elements that emerged, assessed that the habitual gathering of people with criminal convictions in the premises had created a situation of continuous risk in relation to public order and safety, as a source of concrete and current danger for the community, has therefore deemed necessary to adopt the administrative measure in question.

As regards the fight against illegal immigration, the Police Commissioner of Ancona, following the checks carried out, issued 6 orders to leave the national territory for irregular subjects, while 4 administrative expulsions were carried out with accompaniment to the CPR present on the national territory, respectively a Nigerian citizen and a Romanian in Potenza, a Tunisian in Ponte Galeria – Rome and a Moroccan in Bari. Finally, they were two subjects reported, pursuant to art. 14 of the TUI, as they do not have a valid document certifying their regular stay in the territory.

A security garrison of the Army and the local policeman was set up at the time of the evening closing of the shops in via Giordano Bruno.
