The Court of Spoleto – Office of the Judge for Preliminary Investigations – has ordered the revocation of the house arrest measure with that of custody in prison against a young Libyan citizen, born in 2005, following failure to comply with the measures in place against him .

The 19-year-old, last April, was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Foligno station for the crime of persecutory acts “stalking” against one of his peers and, during the validation hearing, he had been subjected to the precautionary measure of house arrest with application of the electronic control device.

However, over time, the boy has demonstrated that he did not perceive the seriousness of his conduct in the slightest, violating on several occasions the provisions imposed by the Judicial Authority, not responding to the controls of the military personnel in charge, tampering with the electronic control device that had been applied to him by tearing and categorically refusing the installation of a new device.

Having ascertained the seriousness of the facts and examined the non-compliant behavior of the suspect, insensitive and intolerant to the provisions, the GIP of the Court of Spoleto ordered the revocation of the house arrest by applying the precautionary measure in prison which was implemented by the military of the Weapon.

At the current stage of the investigation, the subject is presumed innocent.
