A man originally from Togo is in the Lucera prison at the disposal of the judicial authorities and has been granted a precautionary custody order as he is held responsible for sexual violence.
The story originates from the complaint presented by a woman to the Barletta railway police, according to which while she was on board a regional train, during the journey home, she was subjected to sexual harassment by the foreigner.
According to the victim’s story, in fact, evidently taking advantage of the fact that there were few travelers on board the train at that moment, the man would have touched some parts of her body and after masturbating he had ejaculated on the victim’s jacket and on the armchair where he was sitting.
Investigations began immediately, initiated by the Barletta police force, which within a short time reconstructed the story and collected several clues against a man originally from Togo, illegal on the national territory and already known for similar crimes.
The Judge for the Preliminary Investigations of the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Trani accepted the requests of the Public Prosecutor in charge of the investigations, and very quickly issued a precautionary measure immediately carried out by the policemen who tracked down the man in Trinitapoli .
The alleged culprit was sent to prison.
