The largest amusement park in Lombardy returns to Desenzano

The goal is the same as always: fun for everyone. From 5 July to 25 August the Summer Park, amusement park among the longest running in Italy and the largest in Lombardy: since the summer of 1974, a point of reference for summer evenings on lower Garda.

It’s easy to do the math: This year the amusement park turns fifty. This is why the calendar of initiatives presented yesterday at the town hall will be very rich, which is why the park management is confident that it can do even better than the record recorded last year, when admissions were 95 thousand: 100 thousand is not that far away. Marco Piccaluga thinks so: «We want it to be a memorable edition. In addition to the inauguration on July 5th, there will be a big birthday party on July 18th and many other events to amaze and involve everyone.”

At work on the area of approximately 20 thousand square meters over which the park extends in Monte Mario there are around twenty families, committed to ensuring that safety comes first, also through an ad hoc service in synergy with the police .

Appointments

For the opening night, the ribbon will be cut at 8pm on July 5th. The first thousand who show up at the gates will be given a booklet of tickets worth 50 euros. The day dedicated to inclusion is also back: on Wednesday 10 July the doors will be open to the Anffas associations in the province, with – as godfather – the “bearded”, champion of solidarity, Diego Bazoli. And again the Summer Party on Friday 12 July (repeat on 9 August), the evening dedicated to women on 25 July, with discounts for ladies and the presence at the amusement park of the Centro Aiuto Vita and Casa Gratitudine associations, and the “superheroes” evening » on August 1st, with dance shows and entertainment.

Birthday

Only one date is missing from the appeal: July 18th, the birthday of the amusement park. It will be celebrated with a super promotion: 20 euros to access all the rides (instead of 70 euros). And what’s new about the rides? It is called Ranger 360 and comes from Australia: it is made up of two mechanical arms which, one clockwise, the other anti-clockwise, are able to perform 360 degree turns and rise up to a height of 20 metres, generating a force equal to that of gravity.
