L’AQUILA – A three-year collaboration agreement that will see L’Aquila and other regional locations, a point of reference for summer rugby activity, starting from this summer until 2026.

This is what was signed between the Italian Rugby Federation and the Abruzzo region.

Until 2026, at least for now, the men’s national team will hold summer rallies in the city while young rugby players from all over Italy will be able to participate in the FIRCamps (fircamp.federugby.it) organized in the regional territory by the Federation with the best coaches in the sector technician.

The news was given yesterday morning, on the sidelines of the Azzurri’s training at the Fattori, the final act of the preparatory meeting for the Italian men’s summer tour in the Pacific Ocean, by the Federal President Marzio Innocenti and by the Regional Councilor Mario Quaglieri. Also present was the mayor of L’Aquila, Pierluigi Biondi and the national coach, Gonzalo Quesada.
