In 2023, 294 million were spent on durable goods in the province of Grosseto. This is what emerges from the 30th edition of the Findomestic Observatory created in collaboration with Prometeia. In the province, the millions of euros spent on durable goods were 294 and the purchases of used cars had the greatest impact: 84 million euros compared to 73 in ’22 at +15.6%. For new cars, however, the amount amounts to 67 million with a +26.1% which places Grosseto in seventh place for growth in the sector among the 107 Italian provinces. According to data from the Findomestic Observatory, however, the motor vehicle market recorded 11 million in turnover and a +19.3%. Positive trends also for household appliances (+3.5%, 23 million euros) and for furniture (+0.1%, 69 million). As in the other Tuscan provinces, consumer electronics was negative, falling to 7 million from 9 in 2022 (-29.2%), information technology down by 7.3% to 9 million, and telephony down by 3% to 24 million euros. At the provincial level, the most significant increase in consumption was recorded in Florence (+13%, 1 billion and 593 million euros). Pisa, Lucca, Pistoia and Prato also performed well, all provinces with variations equal to or greater than 11%. “The most dynamic sectors – comments Claudio Bardazzi (photo), Manager of the Findomestic Observatory – are those linked to mobility, with spending growing by 25.5% for new cars (1 billion and 631 million) and by 20% for used (1 billion and 368 million), higher than both the Italian average and the reference macro-area”.
