Terra d’Agavi Literary Award ceremony tomorrow – 41st Edition – il Gazzettino di Gela

The awards ceremony will take place on June 22nd at 7.30 pm at the Club Nautico, in an evening dedicated to culture, fashion and entertainment.

The Commission, chaired by the writer Tea Ranno and composed of Antonella Aquino, Andrea Cassisi, Marianna De Fusco, Tiziana Morselli, Tiziana Mauro, Cinzia Siragusa, Lina Orlando, Gaetano De Bernadis, Franco Città, Maria Concetta Goldini, Rita Salvo, Domenico Russello, Carla Aldisio and Paola Greco, decreed the final ranking:

For the Alfonso Parisi narrative section, first place was awarded to Lucia Boldi with the novel “Cucurummà”. Lucia Boldi, a very talented writer, has already published several successful works, including “The Paper Stars” and “The Echo of Silence”, standing out for her emotional depth and ability to portray unforgettable characters.

A special mention goes to the duo Giardina Aiello with the novel “Terroir”, which ranked second, and in third place we find Mavie Carolina Parisi with the work “Olga’s War”.

For the Federico Hoefer poetry section, first place was awarded to Giovanni Bracco with the collection of poems “Madrigali”. Giovanni Bracco was born in 1961 in Polla, a small town which is the gateway to Vallo di Diano, the extreme edge of the province of Salerno. After his high school studies in Sala Consilina and his degree in literature at the University of Naples, he graduated in piano at the Conservatory of Potenza and then moved to Rome to pursue a career as a journalist which he pursued until recently retiring. Alongside journalism he cultivated literature (particularly poetry) and music

In second and third place we find “Ascoltavo il mare” by Muscardin and “The casket of my deep and secret emotions” by Sebastiano Parrella.

In collaboration with the Tenaka Association of Salerno writers for the rights of the earth and people, this year a special prize was established for the work that most protects and promotes the rights of Planet Earth and the people who inhabit it. The steering committee of the Tenaka Association has decided to reward Tania Anastasi with the work Carusi di mine.

During the awards evening, a significant moment will be the video connection with the writer and journalist Gaetano Savatteri, author of the successful hit series “Màkari” who will be awarded the Special Prize for Journalism. For family reasons he will not be able to be present but the recognition will be given to him by the President of the Rotary Club of Gela on Saturday 29 June during a convivial event at Villa Dorica in Gela.

Saturday 22 June will also be an opportunity to get to know an excellence of the territory, during the Terra d’Agavi awards ceremony, we will celebrate the excellence of Gela represented by Gloria Contrafatto, a renowned stylist who works in Milan. Her creative vision and extraordinary talent have made her creations a symbol of elegance and innovation in the world of fashion. Some of her most iconic works will be shown in a special presentation, offering a tribute to her journey and her invaluable contribution to the sector

Giuliana Fraglica, together with the Prefect of the Club Francesco Giudice, will present the award ceremony of the Terra d’Agavi Literary Prize. Giuliana will not only host the event with her unique style, but will also enchant the audience with a performance of Sicilian songs from her extensive repertoire. An unmissable opportunity to celebrate Sicilian culture and literature in all its forms.
