Police checks continue after incidents of fights in Gallarate. As part of the intensification of services to protect public order and safety arranged in Gallarate by the Varese police commissioner, in fact, following some incidents of brawl which occurred near the local railway station, yesterday a extraordinary joint service in which personnel from the Police Commissariat, the Mobile Department of Milan, the Railway Police, the Carabinieri and the Local Police took part, aimed at verifying compliance with the legislation on immigration by non-EU citizens gravitating in the area.
During the service, eight people were accompanied to the police station to be subjected to photo identification as they did not have identification documents. As a result of the investigations, also with the help of specialized personnel from the Immigration Office, two people were referred for crimes relating to irregular immigration and one was recognized and reported for having participated in the brawl on 3 June.
Furthermore, three subjects were notified of the same number of “Dacur” measures (prohibition of access to urban areas) issued by the Police Headquarters of Varese again for the events of 3 June last and, finally, an irregular foreigner on the national territory was accompanied to the Center of Permanence for the Repatriation of Bari.
