GALLARATE – From the next school year, the meal voucher in Gallarate schools will be affected an increase of 50 euro cents for each ISEE band. The decision was made today, June 21, in the council during the recognition of budget balances.
The new rates
Despite the increases in the costs of the school lunch service, based on Istat adjustmentsin the school year that has just ended the municipal administration had taken on these increased costs keeping the cost of the meal voucher unchanged. The new tariffs will come into force from September. Look at the table:
Differentiated rates
«Despite this, thanks to the fact that the Municipality pays over 800,000 euros per year of the costs of school meals, we will be able to guarantee the differentiated rates based on ISEE and more generally Gallarate will continue to have tariffs among the lowest in the entire province of Varese», explains the mayor Andrea Cassani. «This decision was made to maintain the quality of the service and continue to support our families, especially those in greatest difficulty. We are aware of the challenges that many families are facing and we are committed to finding them balanced and sustainable solutions».
