CAMPI FLEGREI – The Campi Flegrei Archaeological Park in the UNESCO World Network of Water Museums. An important milestone celebrated with a special event held at Castello di Baia. A unique opportunity to celebrate the prestigious recognition obtained and delve into the historical and cultural richness of the Campi Flegrei Archaeological Park.
The event began with the presentation of the event and greetings from Abdennabi El Mandour, Vice President WAMU-NET (UNESCO-IHP) and Director of the Museum of
Water Civilization of Morocco ‘Mohammed VI’, Antonio Tosi, President of the Te.Am Study Center, Marco Arcieri, ICID World President
(Awarding award to the MIrabilis swimming pool), Marcella Testa, Consul of Indonesia, representing the Mayor of Pozzuoli, councilor Giacomo Bandiera, Antonio Sabino, Mayor of Quarto and Giulio Gambardella director of Federalberghi Campi Flegrei.
The interventions began with a presentation by the Director of the Campi Flegrei Archaeological Park, Fabio Pagano, on the “liquid” memory of the park. Following the interventions of Eriberto Eulisse on the World Network of Water Museums and Stefania Capaldo on ancient thermalism in the Phlegraean area.
Carmela Iolanda Capriglione addressed the tradition of the Grand Tour in the Campi Flegrei, Giuseppe Ottaiano (Associazione Terre di Campania) on the Multimedia Museum of Campania Waters and finally Marco Arcieri, ICID World President, spoke about the structures of the Roman Empire at the service of irrigation . He moderated the journalist Angelo Cirasa.
