“The Abruzzo Region has allocated, with a decree signed in recent days by the President of the Region Marco Marsilio, funds to the areas affected by the earthquake and snowfall of 2017 and therefore also affecting the provincial and municipal territory of Teramo”.

Luca Corona, group leader of the Brothers of Italy in the Teramo city council, made this known.

“There are two allocations which, in particular, concern our capital. Funds intended for the restoration of the Scapriano sports hall, which has been in poor maintenance conditions for years as can be seen from the external areas and the age of the interiors, and 1.25 million euros for the redevelopment, external arrangement and restoration of the underground room in Piazza Garibaldi. THEIt is useless, or perhaps not, to briefly recall the terrible management of the municipal administration relating to the almost permanent construction site in Piazza Garibaldi. This is where the most serious errors of the D’Alberto administration were concentrated. Delays in the delivery of the works, lack of punctual and careful planning, suspension of the construction site, communication deficit towards citizens, exploitation for electoral purposes with empty promises as they were not kept, variant appraisal and further allocation of money for the works. We arrive today with a construction site still in progress and with a mayor incapable of establishing a timetable and giving citizens a simple answer: the delivery date of the works”.

And again: “The Region is present, vigilant and works in synergy. And it does so with economic allocations to the city of Teramo. It is necessary to thank the president of the Abruzzo Region Marco Marsilio and the Fratelli d’Italia party. It is equally necessary to recognize the commitment, determination and skills brought to the regional headquarters by councilor Paolo Gatti. A work that is attentive to the growth and development of our provincial and municipal territory beyond political logic as it is aimed at the public and collective interest. The disbursement of regional funds is a tangible and irrefutable fact of “good politics” capable of acting. I hope that the mayor knows how to make the most of these funds by simply using them. And that they do not end up like the regional funds, amounting to 300 thousand euros, which arrived in the Malle district (Cavuccio district of Teramo) and which the Municipality of Teramo was unable to use due to lack of planning”.
