Solemn inauguration of “La Torre” – the new FORST Biergarten in Trento. “La Torre – Biergarten FORST” opens its doors in Trento. New gastronomic expansion of Birra FORST: “La Torre – Biergarten FORST” where hops and vines will meet in the future, was officially inaugurated between historic walls and a unique view. An oasis of peace on the picturesque hill above Ravina, nestled among vineyards, where culinary delights and fresh FORST beer specialties now await all visitors.

The historic residence “La Torre – Biergarten FORST” recently opened its doors to the public and was the worthy setting for the exclusive inauguration ceremony in a private context. The ceremonial speech held by Cellina von Mannstein of Birra FORST, in the presence of Franco Ianeselli, mayor of Trento, Roberto Failoni, Councilor for crafts, commerce, tourism, forests, hunting and fishing of the Province of Trento, Nicola Malossini, manager of Forsterbräu Trento and La Torre – Biergarten FORST, and other guests, marked the convivial inauguration of the new culinary meeting place by Don Christian Moltrer, parish priest of Ravina. With immediate effect, the traditional beer garden with around 200 seats is open every day from 12.00 to 23.00 with hot food service.

“The walls are the part of the house we trust, ancient witnesses that combine tradition and innovation. Because the conservation of culture, tradition and one’s roots, in constant harmony with nature and with an eye to the future, are essential elements of the FORST Birra philosophy. With this in mind, the renovation works were carried out in close collaboration with the authority responsible for the protection of the fine arts heritage. The success story of Forsterbräu Trento continues thanks to the long-standing partnership with the manager Nicola Malossini. “La Torre” by Ravina is a fascinating, unique jewel and we are very satisfied with its future convivial catering,” said Cellina von Mannstein of Birra FORST.

This new gastronomic project, in this historical jewel of the 14th century, means that, next to the Forsterbräu Trento in the “Pilati Donati” palace, it becomes another important jewel that expresses the excellent FORST beer culture. The tower, already mentioned in documents from 1339, is considered a place of great historical value. The venerable tower, crowned with Ghibelline battlements, has an inviting internal courtyard with panoramic views of the city, a beer garden and the adjoining garden: a vast green oasis and a remarkable playground for special occasions and celebrations.

The interior was designed with warm walnut elements, Victorian serpentines and the unmistakable terracotta tiles with the “Daisy” symbol, already known in FORST restaurants. Two smoked glass chandeliers hang from the ceiling, inspired by the design of the architect Carlo Scarpa.

The FORST traditional style beer garden, with generous cobblestone paving, cobbled paths and beautifully landscaped flower gardens, blends with modern agricultural components. An example of this are the handcrafted high chairs made from formal elements of historic tractor seats. The renovation works were carried out entirely in the spirit of Birra FORST: with a feminine touch and the right amount of preservation of tradition and adaptation to the surrounding environment.
