I wanted to make the most of the natural resources of the Akragas area and contribute to the safety and functionality of the city. The hypogea were an ideal solution to meet many community needs.

Phaeace: The hypogea served several purposes. First of all, they were essential for water management. We built a series of underground tunnels and cisterns to collect and distribute water efficiently. Furthermore, the hypogea were used as shelters and burial places, offering protection in case of attacks and spaces to honor the deceased.
Design and Construction: Collaboration with Experts
