Safe hands for Granda Volley: Lucio Piovani leads the medical staff

“Working with a new group of athletes, the first step will be to get to know the girls as best as possible in order to plan preparation aimed at reducing injuries. It will be essential to immediately create a good relationship with the team.” These are the joint words of the Cuneo Granda Volley medical staff in view of the start of next season. In particular he will still be Dr Lucio Piovani, head of the orthopedics department at the Cuneo hospital, the manager and coordinator of the medical staff. The staff will be made up of five other professionals, including several well-known faces.

Doctor Marra will be the second orthopedist on the Granda Volley medical team and will be responsible for assisting the work of Doctor Piovani. Then Doctor Biolè will take care of the part relating to sports medicine, following the athletes throughout their journey at the Helix Sports Medical Center in Borgo San Dalmazzo. Furthermore, Dr. China will have the task of being on the field with the athletes, remaining in close contact with the team group even outside the arena. The confirmations of the Cuneo Granda Volley medical staff close Francesco Zito of the Cuneo Physiotherapy Center ed Andrea Reynaudowho with their work will be an important key in the health of the team with regards to rehabilitation, physiotherapy and osteopathy.

“We are happy to have a first-rate team like the one built by Dr. Piovani. It is clear that the hope is to see the medical staff work as little as possible, but ours is an enviable team that keeps us in contact with the entire province.” These are the words of the co-presidents Bianco and Manini.
