Mignani goes to Cesena, Sottil to Salerno. Three B teams still without a coach

Day of announcements in Serie B regarding the benches, with three other teams having found their coach for next season. After the announcements from Reggiana and Bari, on the day that has just ended it was the turn of Cesena, Salernitana and Cosenza. The Romagna team found the right heir for Domenico Toscano in Michele Mignani, while Salernitana decided to start again with Andrea Sottil. Cosenza instead chose Massimiliano Alvini. Among the three teams still without a coach is Frosinone with manager Guido Angellozzi who is trying to close for Vivarini.

Cesena’s press release
Cesena FC announces that it has entrusted Michele Mignani with the role of first team coach. The coach has signed an agreement that will bind him to the Juventus club from 1 July 2024 until 30 June 2026. Born in 1972 and with a past as a defender, Mignani took his first steps as a coach in Siena’s youth team, and then became a technical collaborator first of Beretta and then of Breda at Latina in the 2014/15 season. His first experience on the bench came with Olbia in Serie D, then in 2017 he returned to Siena, managing the first team, in Serie C. After having coached Modena from 2019 to 2021, in the 2021 season/ 22 becomes the coach of Bari and immediately takes them to Serie B. Confirmed the following season, he comes one step away from promotion to Serie A. After starting the third consecutive championship with the red and whites, in April 2024 he becomes the coach of Palermo with whom he reached the play-offs.

The statement from Salernitana
“US Salernitana 1919 announces that it has reached an agreement with Mr. Andrea Sottil and that it has entrusted him with the technical guidance of the first team. The coach has signed a two-year contract with the Granata club”.
