The bubbly trailer and full of gags sees Antonio Catania’s character suddenly rejuvenated, and even able to do triceps push-ups, after taking a mysterious Chinese pill that should enhance and invigorate sexual performance. Together with the sixty-year-old “peers” played by Greg and Massimo Ghini, all hospitalized for health problems, Catania gives birth to the idea of marketing the miracle pill, all with unpredictable outcomes.
Alongside the three star performers Ghini, Frassica and Catania, for this reason Cocoon Italian-style we find a rich cast that includes Claudio Greg Gregori and promising new talents such as Claudio Colica, Claudio Casisa, Leonardo Ghini and Giulia Elettra Gorietti, as well as Fabrizio Nardi and Milena Miconi.
The synopsis
In the center of 30 years younger30 years (less) we find three sixty-year-olds hospitalized for different pathologies forced against their will to share the only available room in a private clinic. Thanks to one mysterious pill purchased online on a Chinese site which should encourage vigorous sexual performance, Diego (Massimo Ghini), Marco (Antonio Catania) and Maurizio (Claudio Greg Gregori) suddenly find each other thirty years younger. Playing their young versions are Leonardo Ghini, Claudio Casisa and Claudio Colica.
Suddenly reinvigorated in body and spirit, the three newly thirty-year-olds initially get caught up in the enthusiasm and take advantage of it to do everything that is physically barred to them at their age. But after an initial moment of euphoria, they decide to use this “superpower” to remedy the mistakes made in the past (and present). Not everything goes smoothly however, the effect of the mysterious pill in fact comes and goes intermittently and Maurizio, Marco and Diego are forced to escape from the clinic to avoid explaining the inexplicable, embarking on an extraordinary adventure.
