Confirmed are the deputy mayor Salvatore Licata and the councilors Alberto Calafato, Leyla Montagnino, Vincenzo Cancelleri and Carmelo Milazzo. No relation for the outgoing mayor Roberto Gambino, third in approval in the first round with 8167 votes or 28% of the preferences.




In Gela Cosentino and Di Stefano for the mayor’s seat

In Gela the ones competing for the mayor’s seat will be: for the centre-right the engineer Grazia Cosentino59 years old, supported by Lega, Italia Viva and Fratelli d’Italia, which in the first round obtained 32.87% of the preferences (11,625 votes), and the former deputy mayor Terenziano Di Stefano, 43 years old, at the head of a coalition with M5S, Action, Let’s start from scratch, Pd, PCI, Ideas in motion, South calls North and the two civic lists, Una good idea and Civico lab, which obtained 29.26% of preferences (10,348 votes). As regards the alliances, here too an agreement was found between Filippo Franzone, who had run for mayor and received 7% of the votes, and Terenziano Di Stefano. The candidate for Mayor Totò Scerra (23.45% of preferences) has decided to support Grazia Cosentino, a choice that has caused rifts within his political group. No official affiliation for candidate Miguel Donegani who only spoke about technical agreements.

Both candidates have decided to reshape their team of councillors. The candidate Grazia Cosentino enriches her team, among the new entries Nadia Gnoffo of Forza Italia, Vincenzo Cascino of the DC and Daniele Scicolone of Fratelli d’Italia, designated deputy mayor.
