Christmas Eve celebrations in Trento: the Adige swells, the Palio dell’Oca canceled | Gazzetta delle Valli

Tomorrow, along the streets of the historic center and the Le Albere district, the Magical Night will be staged: DJ sets, music, shows, entertainment and lots of fun for young people, families and children, who will thus be able to live the night in a cheerful and joyful atmosphere longer than the Vigiliana. Among the main events, the concert by Fausto Leali (in collaboration with Radio Italia), which from 9.30 pm will liven up Piazza Fiera by reviewing the greatest successes of his career.

The Tonca, the final act of the Penance Tribunal, is scheduled for Sunday evening, another iconic moment of the event: the single judge Mario Cagol will look out from the tower erected near the San Lorenzo bridge to read the much-feared sentence. At that point, the “convict” (personified by a volunteer) will then be “toned”, that is, symbolically immersed in the waters of the Adige. In Piazza Fiera there will be a concert by the four bands of the municipality of Trento, who for the occasion will combine their talents to create a single, enormous ensemble made up of 140 elements, giving life to an extraordinary musical event.

The initiatives of the Le Albere Summer Festival (organised by EDG Spettacoli and Trentino Eventi) will also continue until Sunday, which will liven up the neighborhood of the same name (the reference point will be Piazza Donne Lavoratrici) with games, artistic and musical performances, typical cuisine and a themed amusement park for the little ones.

The Christmas Eve celebrations are organized by the Santa Chiara Cultural Services Center on behalf of the Municipality of Trento and by the Pro Loco Centro Storico of Trento with the support of the Autonomous Province of Trento.
