Reggio Calabria. A disgrace to the panorama and urban decorum

There is a certain concern in the Viale Aldo Moro area because in a strip of land bordering the sea area, exactly the former FS clearing today apparently belonging to the Municipality of Reggio Calabria, looks like a real open-air landfill. The area is behind the DIA headquarters.

It should serve as a temporary or emergency solution but you know… sometimes here in Reggio Calabria temporary things become permanent. In the same space, the lava stones that tessellated part of the surface of the old Corso Garibaldi were accumulated and it seems that they are still there, one on top of the other, abandoned in a disorderly manner, waiting for the superintendence to claim them.

The panorama of the Strait that those who live in that area could enjoy is scarred by the sight of what is, to all intents and purposes, waste material placed, or rather abandoned there. In addition to the purely aesthetic aspect, there could be a danger of environmental pollution and there have been many complaints and phone calls to public offices (based on what we have been told) to request a solution to the problem, but nothing has yet been done!!

A situation that will eventually need to be assessed by the competent authorities. Based on what can be seen in the photo of the report that reached us today, there are many “materials” present in the area. Among other things, you can easily observe the plastic “seats” in the Stadium. We therefore hope that those responsible will intervene promptly so that the unseemly situation existing in that area is quickly resolved.
