The Paduan summer is enriched with the return of the “Notturni Padovani”, a large summer container dedicated to the cultural and tourist proposals of the different realities of the territory. The initiative aims to create a rich schedule of events that broaden experiences and opportunities for both residents and tourists.
The “Notturni Padovani” put the excellence of the area online, offering a vast range of stays and experiences. The program includes cultural itineraries, guided tours, excursions on foot, by bike and by boat, tastings, gastronomic evenings, and numerous appointments and events.
THE Nocturnal Padovani – between Art, waterways and Flavors 2024, are a large summer container of events, the result of the collaboration between the Padua Tourist Promotion Consortium, which organizes them, the Municipality of Padua, some Padua Product Clubs such as Guide PADOVA , the Battellieri Consortium and the PadovaViaggi Consortium, as well as the close collaboration of important Paduan cultural and sporting associations including the historic ones, the Mura Committee, Teatrortaet, Fantalica, Arcadia, Sorsi d’Arte and, from this year also Rari Nantes and Scuola Voga Veneta Zonca and many other important Padua tourism operators.
Padua is an important City of Art and the various event proposals in the container tend to tell, communicate, enhance and experience the various reading profiles linked
– City of Art and Culture, the City of Frescoes URBS PICTA with the UNESCO seal;
– City of Water with its navigable river routes;
– City of Science with the monumentality of the Bo, the university museum circuit, the monumental Botanical Garden, a UNESCO heritage site and the Museum of the history of medicine;
– City of Faith with the famous Basilica of Sant’Antonio and the stupendous Abbey Basilica of Santa Giustina with adjoining Benedictine monastery;
– and again City of Flavors for the food and wine richness of the city and the surrounding area;
– but also Green City, with varied outdoor activities and active tourism, full of large green parks, cycle paths and kilometre-long fitness trails along the banks of its rivers.
The target of the Nocturnal Padovani is the creation of a large summer container of over 250 micro-events and appointments, with numerous and interesting proposals that broaden the experiences and opportunities for both Padua residents and tourists, networking the excellence of the area by organizing a basket of stays and experience with itineraries, guided tours, walking, bike and boat excursions, tastings, gastronomic evenings, appointments and events and much more.
A large one has therefore been prepared summer container of appointmentsorganized mostly in the afternoon or evening, but some, for technical needs, also in the morning, distributed in the months of June, July, August and September.
Among the various experiences planned we can point out: Nocturnal Padovani 2024
– guided visits to the URBS PICTA locations such as the Scrovegni Chapel with animated visits, the renovated Baptistery, the Church of the Eremitani, the Palazzo della Ragione, the Basilica del Santo and the Oratory of San Giorgio;
– guided visits to Palazzo Moroni, its institutional rooms and the Nodari Chapel and then to the Piano Nobile of Pedrocchi;
– guided tours of underground and archaeological Padua, visiting the basement of Palazzo della Ragione and the buried bridge of San Lorenzo
– in collaboration with the University and the University Center for Museums of the University of Padua, innovative guided tours have been included in some scientific museums such as the “Enrico Bernardi” Machine Museum, the Museum of Archaeological Sciences and Art, the Giovanni Poleni of History of Physics, the Museum of Geography, the Museum of Pathological Anatomy; as well as the Botanical Garden, the Museum of the History of Medicine and the fantastic new Museum of Nature and Man in Palazzo Cavalli;
– guided walks between Art and History through the streets and squares of the city with stories and anecdotes of the different historical and social profiles of old Padua;
– the fascinating night views of the Abbey of Santa Giustina and the cloisters of the monastic complex, led by the Abbot himself Don Giulio Pagnoni;
– walking visits along the walls and ancient city bastions, guided by the historical experts of the Walls Committee
– boat excursions along the Piovego
– wine tasting in ancient homes
Among the many new features of 2024 we highlight
– guided walks between Art and History through the streets and squares of the city with stories and anecdotes of the different historical and social profiles of old Padua with a rereading of ancient guides and city life in the medieval era
– the new stories of Jewish profiles, life and history of the guided tours of the Ghetto, the Museum and the Synagogue
– the guided tour of the Jewish Padua Cemetery;
– guided visits to the Precinema Museum to discover the extraordinary Minici Zotti collection of optical games and shadow theatres;
– the suggestive and exciting guided navigations with rowing boats pushed by the expert rowers of Rari Nantes and the Venetian Zonca Rowing School, which will take you to visit corners of the Piovego and the fascinating route of the old Naviglio Interno from the Specola to the Torricelle Bridge

– event in Vigonza celebrating Quirino De Giorgio’s futurist rural village
– and then to discover Noventa Padovana with boat excursions from Padua to visit Villa Giovanelli and Ville Grimani Valmarana.
– another important novelty is the guided tours organized in collaboration with the Walls Committee which illustrate “The defense of Padua from floods”, with a pleasant exploratory mini-cruise to discover the hydraulic defense system of Padua from floods
