Citizen’s appeal to vote: Let’s let Rovigo win

ROVIGO – Sound messages from cars, billboards, flyers, the last mile of the electoral campaign for the center-right candidate for mayor with Lega per Salvini Premier, Fratelli d’Italia, Forza Italia and her own civic list is all focused on bringing more people possible at the polls. “On 23 and 24 June we have a great opportunity: to transform the Municipality of Rovigo into everyone’s home” announces Valeria Cittadin, in her last appeal to vote, which she will reiterate on Friday 21 June, from 8.00 pm, in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, during the closing party of his electoral campaign.

“Next Sunday and Monday we can choose to let Rovigo win and elect not just a mayor, but 50,000 first citizens. For this to happen, everyone’s contribution is needed. Let’s go back to voting, reminding our friends that the electoral date is decisive£ insists Valeria Cittadin, addressing both the 12,117 people from Rovigo who gave her their confidence in the first round and those who made different choices or abstained.

“An intense electoral campaign will end in a few hours. If elected, I will be everyone’s mayor. I will give a voice to those who have not had it, I will decide for the good of the citizens, not just one part. Because my party has the name of the city I love: Rovigo – explains Cittadin – Listening, participation and unity: these are our watchwords to relaunch our city and its surroundings. Residents, artisans, traders, sporting and cultural associations deserve respect and attention.

The change of pace that we can give to the city starts from here: problems are not solved by giving lessons, but by walking together with the people of Rovigo towards a shared goal. In this game the Municipality must transform itself and stop being an obstacle, becoming rather a facilitator, for the citizen, for the professional, for the business, for young people, for families, for the elderly – he clarifies – Nobody has the magic wand, but we assure that we will respect the voters’ instructions.

We will work to create links with other cities and with all institutional levels, including the Region and Government, to intercept funding and create new opportunities. If we make mistakes we will apologize, instead of justifying the unjustifiable. When we have to make decisions, we will do so after an open and fair discussion with the citizens, who will finally become protagonists of the administration – he concludes – For this to happen we need to take a final step towards the polls together. And express a convinced vote for the renewal of Rovigo”.
