Sant’Anna, a point of reference for 90 years

This year, the Sant’Anna institute proudly celebrates ninety years of activity, paying homage to the extraordinary legacy left by its founders, Carlo Tancredi Falletti of Barolo and Juliette Colbert, marquises of Barolo. On the occasion of this significant anniversary, a documentary film dedicated to the history of the school and its founders was screened. Sant’Anna is the tangible testimony of the vision and commitment of the marquises of Barolo, who, with their dedication to the cause of education, have left an indelible mark on this city too. The school has faced many difficulties over the years, including the bombings of 1942 and the flood of 1966. However, thanks to the resilience of the community and the commitment of the Sisters of Saint Anne, this institution has always found the strength to get back on its feet and continue its educational mission. “The fundamental values of the school – declare the mayor Antonfrancesco Vivarelli Colonna and the councilor for Education Angela Amante – are charity and humility, elements that have made it possible to train educators and students capable of living and transmitting an authentic love for the next. Sant’Anna continues to be a beacon of hope and quality education for the city of Grosseto and honors the memory of its illustrious founders.”
