Reggio Calabria, BeBot at work on Gallico beach. Brunetti’s satisfaction

BeBot at work on the beaches of Gallic. The “superheroes” serving the Reggio Calabria beaches, purchased by the municipal administration as part of the Pon Metro programme, supplied to Castore for further support in cleaning the city coastline, made a first tour of the northern area of Reggio Calabria. These are ecological and cutting-edge tools for cleaning beaches in complete safety: a record of which the city of the Strait can boast. Accompanying them for the tests, in addition to the technicians of the Castore company, were the deputy mayor and councilor for the environment Paolo Brunetti, Fabio Mazzitelli, administrator of Love Boat Srl, a company from Reggio that deals with the marine environment and Simone Germano, commercial director of Europe of the Poralu Marine Company.

«It is a first for the Administration to have these robots – explained Deputy Mayor Brunetti – which will allow us to keep the city’s beaches cleaner and more usable. Obviously these are the sandiest beaches, not those with the presence of rocks or large rocks, on which interventions are done mechanically. We are the first in Italy to have this equipment. The ambition is another record: to have the cleanest beaches and we are putting all the effort we can into it. I would like to highlight that there is a Reggio company that produces robots: the distinction of having them in Reggio corresponds to a local excellence that is rewarded in Reggio. We are on the Gallico seafront to carry out tests and in the next few days, as already announced, two interventions will start: a massive one which involves the general cleaning of the entire city coastline and weekly interventions with this equipment which will allow the beaches to be kept constantly clean. We are at work, the season has just begun, we are trying to guarantee maximum usability of our coasts to the citizens and the many tourists who are honoring us with their presence.”

«We import cleaning systems for water bodies and beaches for Italy – he highlighted Mazzitelli – in this specific case we are here to deliver the three beBots to a municipality for the first time in Italy, robots that are used for cleaning and have been designed to have no impact on the environment. They are equipment that go down to a certain depth, especially for the protection of turtle nests. They are innovative products for cleaning beaches. Congratulations to the Administration for choosing the three systems.”

As clarified by German:

«We decided to invest in this machine which is innovative, the first electric machine that works as a beach cleaner. It has been designed to interfere very little with the ecosystem, therefore it has a very low pressure per square centimeter of the tracks, so that the turtle eggs, as well as everything below the sandy surface, are not compromised and, at the same time, at the same time, it manages to do an effective job of sifting and filtering the beaches, compatible with the type of sand, trying to convey a message of care for the environment and sensitivity to all those who see the machine operating”.
