Thanks to Insieme in Rosa onlus, the diagnostics of cancer patients undergoing treatment are improving and a painting will beautify the mammography waiting room
Grosseto: A double gesture of solidarity for the Misericordia hospital in Grosseto, with the department benefiting from it Pathological anatomy and the waiting room of the mammography clinic. The first donation is represented by a monitor and camera, associated with a multi-head microscope. «It will be positioned in one of our rooms – explains the director of the Uoc of Pathological Anatomy Nicola De Carli – and will be used to share photostat images of histological and cytological cases between colleagues also from other locations. This system will also allow measurements to be carried out on histological preparations in order to improve the anatomic-pathological report.”
The instrumentation will improve and facilitate diagnostics, as the president of the Insieme in Rosa onlus association, Donatella Guidi, explains: «We are raising funds for precision radiotherapy. For this reason, on Sunday 23 June, in Castiglione della Pescaia, there will be a weekend dedicated to wellbeing, aqua-gym, aqua-fit and metabolic walking. The fundraising also continues with the lottery – Guidi recalls – and tickets can be purchased throughout the province or by contacting the association, we are already thinking about future projects».
In addition to medical equipment, Itogether in Rosa onlus donated «Going towards life», an oil painting by the Follonica painter Dora Pianezzola. The work embellishes the waiting room of the mammography department of the Grosseto hospital. «The idea that inspired him arose from the attempt to alleviate the anxiety and fear that one feels while waiting in the room opposite the oncology clinic – explains the Maremma artist – waiting for the result that could change our life. ‘existence. This young woman on the swing flies lightly towards dawn, towards life. At least that’s what I wish for everyone.”
