“He made a choice. Taurus is Taurus, he joins a glorious club”

Giancarlo Camoleseat Torino in various roles between the first team and the youth team from 1996 to 2009, commented in an interview with La Stampa on Paolo’s move Vanoli from the Venice in garnet colours. These are his words.

Who took the riskiest step between Torino and their new coach?
“They are choices, but with the promotion of Venezia Vanoli has become a Serie A coach and it is right that he plays it as he sees fit. Finally
Now the Granatas also have a coach.”

But it’s one thing to do it with a newly promoted team, another with a club that aims much higher…
“With all due respect to Venezia, it’s clear that Torino has another CV and other ambitions. If Vanoli preferred it, it’s because he feels ready.”

From an environment that adored him to one where the protest overwhelmed even Juric. Who made him do it?
“I repeat: Toro is Toro. An experience that those who are lucky enough to be able to have should not miss out on. By joining a club that has glorious roots, Vanoli will have been attracted by its charm.”

What advice would you give to the new coach, the first hired by Cairo who doesn’t even have a bench in Serie A?
“The history of the Granata is so important that everyone knows it, but living it will be something else. Do it fully: it is part of the beautiful things of our profession. If you succeed it will be even more exciting and rewarding.”
