Inauguration of the CISL Treviso headquarters. Sbarra: “We need respect for the dignity of work. Autonomy, participation, reformism roots of the CISL”

“In this new headquarters named after Giuseppe Corazzin, a charismatic figure, undisputed protagonist of the agrarian struggles of 1920, you can feel the strength of our being CISL. A union that prides itself on its autonomy, pragmatism, reformism, responsibility, that evaluates the merits and negotiates growth and investments, rights and protections, that has no other interest than representation, the protagonism of the person who works, the development of bargaining social, participation, subsidiarity and solidarity. No artificial intelligence will be able to replace a look and a handshake. Technology must be put at the service of the centrality of the person. We must valorise the commitment of many women and men who daily exercise responsibility and protagonism to respond personally to the profound needs of families, pensioners, young people imprisoned in uncertain and fragmented work paths, women who continue to endure an enormous gap from the employment, remuneration, career opportunities and work-life balance. Migrants who aspire to enter society and who see work as the most important element of integration and participation”
