ANCONA – Abaco Marche demonstrated this morning June 20th in front of the Marche region for the protection of citizens’ rights, starting with the right to adequate healthcare. The national consumer association Abaco has called a protest this morning in front of all the regional offices “against the destruction of public health”. Abaco Marche denounces the emergency of the waiting lists, the inadequacy of the legislative decree 73/24 and presents its proposals for the relaunch of an efficient healthcare system which will be the subject of a meeting scheduled for next Wednesday June 26th with the regional councilor Filippo Saltamartinias confirmation Mariella Grippomanager and legal representative of Abaco Marche, who also explains Abaco’s mission: «We are a national association that was established in more than fourteen regions, in the Marche we established theMay 8th last. We are here to make ourselves known and to start a relationship dialogue with institutions. Because Abaco Marche aims to help citizens with the problems they encounter with bureaucracy, with public and private bodies.”
The association begins its challenge to the institutions from Right to health: «It seems to us to be a right of which pieces have been lost recently. We are here in defense of public health and among the many issues that must be addressed there is certainly the emergency one waiting lists. All citizens experience almost daily the difficulty of accessing instrumental services or specialist visits with improbable or impossible postponements or even negative responses. We have asked for a meeting with the department, we will be received next Wednesday to bring our proposals which are broad-spectrum regarding healthcare.” Here are the proposals that Abaco Marche will put on the table at the meeting with councilor Saltamartini: «On the waiting lists we ask forextension of hoursthe in which the services are carried out, the restoration of all those small hospitals which have been closed and which could have provided services, theabolition of intramoenia and a whole series of other proposals of a structural nature because decree 73/24 does not address it in a structural way but in a totally ineffective manner”.
Mostly national issues reported in a local key: «Our focus – continues Mariella Grippo – is on our region, which for waiting lists is among the worst places in the national ranking. However, we want to present ourselves to the institutions in a positive way to make ourselves heard, not only to criticize, but also to propose solutions. And if all the regions where we are present obtain consensus on these proposals that we will formalize, we would also like to reach the presidency of the Council of Ministers.” This morning the residents of Collemarino And Palombina who are waging a battle to avoid the closure of territorial health facility of Collemarino «which despite the promises of permanence – concludes Mariella Grippo – in reality already this week has seen the services available cut: there is no longer the Cup, there are no longer any withdrawals, which have been extremely reduced. Abaco Marche supports the battle of these citizens who have formed a spontaneous committee.”
