“Thefts in the city’s commercial establishments: a forty-four-year-old Italian woman arrested by the State Police”
On Friday 14 June, the operators of the Flying Squad of the Alessandria Police Headquarters were sent from the local operations room in Via Galileo Ferraris, as the employees of a supermarket present there had noticed, inside the shop, the presence of a woman, who they knew be addicted to theft. The prediction, in fact, came true shortly afterwards, when she attempted to get out with unpaid goods. Having been discovered by the supermarket staff, the woman left some of the stolen goods, but she still walked away still carrying some objects and was therefore followed by a supermarket employee. A few meters later, to escape, the fugitive attacked the employee of the business, slapping her and making her drop her eyeglasses, which she then deliberately trampled on. A few moments later, the police arrived and, once they had reconstructed the story, even hearing the stories of those present who had witnessed the scene, they could not do anything other than proceed with the arrest of the woman for the crime of improper robbery.
This is a 44-year-old Italian citizen, already known to the police offices as she has multiple convictions for crimes against property, who in the last period has been the perpetrator of several thefts against various commercial establishments. She herself, she had already been arrested for a similar fact in the previous months, and after the validation of the arrest she was released from prison with the obligation to sign.
Following the validation of the arrest, this time, the arrested woman was subjected to the measure of precautionary custody in prison and transferred to the “Lorusso e Cutugno” institute in Turin.
