The series of free concerts and master classes in the jazz field will be held in Aosta from 7 to 13 July
From 7 July to 13 June “Aosta Classica Workshop” returns, an event that offers intensive improvement courses with important names in jazz music. Among these Mario Biondi, who will hold a free concert in Piazza Chanoux at 9.30 pm on July 7th. Together with him, the “Big Band” of Aosta Classica will perform some jazz standards for part of the concert and then accompany Mario Biondi in the revisitation of some of his hits rearranged by Manuel Pramotton, who is also the musical director of the Aosta Classica Big Band.
The 2024 edition of “Aosta Classica Workshop” was presented in Aosta.
«For the second year – says the municipal councilor for Culture, Samuele Tedesco – we confirm the workshop formula which allows the city to return to “breathe” the air of “Classic Aosta”, and this year, as well as with the concerts spread throughout the area. We will also do it with a big name from the most sophisticated international pop scene who will open the event in the heart of Aosta.”
In addition to the concerts, there will be the opportunity to attend free workshops on sax, drums, piano, double bass and electric bass, guitar and jazz ensemble, trombone and wind ensemble. Guest lecturer is Andy Sheppard. «The Aosta Classica masterclasses are growing – comments councilor Tedesco -, involving various Italian realities in the field of musical training, making the city relive the successful artistic season that was born from the collaboration with the Fiesole School of Music».
