The 7th edition of Filming Italy Sardinia Festivalan event conceived and directed by Tiziana Rocca, which will be held from 20 to 23 June in Cagliari and at Forte Village. The event has established itself as unique in its kind because it links Cinema and Television for the first time with screenings, meetings and presentations of films and television series, involving the most important distributions and productions of the small and big screen together with the giants of VOD entertainment and television.

Tiziana Rocca, General Director Filming Italy Sardegna Festival, declared: “For these five days we have selected a list that boasts more than 70 titles including films, documentaries, short films and television series, international and Italian, of absolutely different genres, precisely to satisfy the widest possible segment of the public, but always aiming for the highest quality, and many of these will be screened at the festival as an absolute premiere. Indeed, among these we will have Cult Killersthriller with Antonio Banderas, the hilarious comedy by Max Nardari Friends by chance and the Japanese animated film by Netflix, The Imaginary. And then Katie Holmes will present her latest film as director, Rare Objects. Also for this reason the festival has become the forerunner of the summer cinema season, becoming a point of reference for the entire film sector, and for great international and Italian films.

And then there will be many guests present at the Festival and who will dialogue in masterclasses with young students from the schools and universities of the Academy Cinema: from Brie Larson to Colman Domingofrom Matt Bomer to Patricia Arquetteand then again Silvio Orlando, Barbara Ronchi, Neri Marcorè, Claudio Bisio, Catherine And Corrado Guzzanti, Massimo Ghini, just to name a few. This year the Festival can only be dedicated to a great friend and a great woman, with a unique and astonishing career, who has left an unbridgeable void, Sandra Milo”.

Honorary president of the Festival will be the American actress, Oscar winner and winner of Golden Globe, BAFTA, Critics’ Choice Awards and Screen Actors Guild Award, Brie Larson. The jury president of the short film section will be Paz Vega, an internationally recognized Spanish star. The godmother of this new edition of the Festival will be Amber Angiolini. The role of ambassador of the Festival is entrusted to two great actors of cinema, television and theatre, Harvey Keitel and Claudia Gerini.

The American actress and singer is the eagerly awaited guest of the Festival Bella Thornewho will be awarded the Filming Italy International Award for his short directorial debut Paint Her Red, which will be screened during the Festival.
