Tonight on Telelibertà “ColtiviAmo Piacenza”: excellence and agriculture

It debuts this evening, June 20, on Telelibertà, at 9.00 pm, “ColtiviAmo Piacenza”, a new format dedicated to agriculture and the territory. Four episodes in total, but the cycle will resume in September, which mark the beginning of a journey full of discoveries through the fields, greenhouses and research laboratories, where passion for the land meets technological innovation.

“We will explore – explains Marzia Foletti, creator and presenter of the program – the roots of local agriculture, closely observing the traditional techniques that have resisted over time and the new methodologies that are revolutionizing the sector”.

In the first episode, space will be given to the wonderful Villanova cherries hosted by the Concari company, a fruit and vegetable company. The narration, in this first episode, is accompanied by the presence of the owner, Alberto Concari.

Also protagonists are the experts from the Catholic University of Piacenza (Department of Agri-Food Economics).

“The roots of cherry cultivation in Villanova – continues Foletti – date back centuries. Thanks to its favorable climate and fertile soil, the local inhabitants have found in this fruit a source of livelihood and an excellent product to offer to the surrounding markets. Unfortunately, the climate can also represent a danger for production. In the Concari company, where innovation is at the forefront, the crops are protected with a sheet, which is the largest in Europe”.
