The eighth edition of Bim&Digital Award is underway. Registrations are open for the contest that rewards thedigital innovation in constructionthe. An award promoted by Clust-ER Build, Saie and AssoBim to reward excellence and pursuit of digitalization he was born in Bim (building information modeling) applied to constructions.
The competition returns in 2024 to reward ideas, projects and works capable of interpreting change in the best possible way.
Who can participate
They can participate companies, start-ups, businesses, professionals, design studios, clientsthat have conceived and implemented projects or promoted new digital initiatives which make the process of survey, restitution and vision, design, construction and maintenance more effective – especially for recovery and restoration interventions – all managed with Bim methodology, but not only.
Furthermore, in recent years, the protagonists of the sector have had to look – through digital – for new forms of communication, new work tools and technologies that allow the safe management of processes and spaces. Therefore the competition also wants to reward the Italian public administrations that have developed and applied it dematerialization processes of technical-administrative procedures of the construction industry through the use of digital technologies also developed ad hoc.
The different categories of the contest
The award will be divided into different categories, some reserved for design companies and studios and freelancers, others for construction companies, still others for clients, students and researchers.
The first dedicated to design and constructioni is divided into buildings, infrastructures and restoration and heritage enhancement interventions. In the category innovative management of buildings and cities instead, projects for the operational management of buildings, smart buildings and cities will be included.
PA and digitalisation it is the category dedicated to public administrations, while technologies and digital innovation intends to reward technological solutions and smart construction sites.
The contest will also give space to researchboth the applied industrial one and the university one, through the selection of master’s degree, specialization school, master’s and doctoral theses developed and applied on methodologies, tools, protocols, systems, inherent to BIM and the digitalisation of buildings.
There will be no lack of recognition for Bim initiative of the yearaimed at those who have promoted new ways of working in a BIM environment to make the design, construction and maintenance process of the built environment more effective.
How to participate
The closing date for registrations and the last date for sending the documents and required documentation is 27 September 2024.
The finalists will be announced between 9 and 12 October at the Saie in Bologna, and the awards ceremony will take place in November.
