The 2024 edition of the 2024 edition starts on Friday 21 June Lazzaretto Summer Festival of Bergamo, the fourth of a particularly intense history as intense this year is the schedule of events set up by the Municipality of Bergamo in its Lazzaretto, still almost entirely preserved today, thanks to continuous reuse over the centuries, built in the 15th century by the Serenissima Republic of Venice to deal with the devastating epidemics that periodically plagued Bergamo and other cities under its dominion. We continue on July 28th with an exceptional live performance, on the Roberto Vecchioni stage for a stage of his Between the silence and the thunder Tour which takes its name from his latest literary work at the top of the Italian fiction rankings. The next day it will be the turn of Big son of a b****, Eleazaro Rossi’s last show, the third in the career of one of the most followed stand up comedians on the Italian scene. The live performances resume on July 5th with Willie Peyote, the prince of conscious rap, the borderline between the genre that dominates the charts and pure songwriting. The Turin native, accompanied by a band, which has always been his signature style, will bring songs from his latest album to the stage Pornstalgia. The one on July 13th, however, is practically a historic event, because the Lazzaretto in Bergamo will be filled with the timeless music of Umberto Tozzi with what he has announced will be the last tour of an amazing career studded with successes and recognitions in Italy and around the world, with more than 80 million records sold. More music of the highest level on Friday 19 July, when the Lombard municipality will host the concert by Goran Bregovic, the most famous Balkan musician and composer in the world, who for the occasion will be joined by his Wedding and Funeral Band. The last artist protagonist of the summer at the Lazzaretto in Bergamo will be Andrea Pennacchi with the show Pojana and his Brothersa character who has now made him famous thanks to his hilarious forays during Live propaganda broadcast on La7.
