Baccalaureate exams have begun for approximately 800 students from city institutes. Also in Civitavecchia today was the day of the first test, the classic Italian “theme” being able to choose from the seven tracks proposed by the Ministry of Education and Merit. And the majority of students chose the most current text among those proposed, “Profiles, selfies and blogs, the form of the diary in the internet age” by Maurizio Caminito. Many have decided to pursue another topical theme, “The Praise of Imperfection” by Rita Levi Montalcini. The other tracks featured texts by Ungaretti and Pirandello and then reflections on the use of the atomic bomb and on the reform of the premiership approved at first reading in the Senate.
Most of the students expressed satisfaction with the progress of the first test, explaining that it turned out to be easier than expected.
“I think it went well and it was a liberation – said a boy from the scientific Galilei – and I preferred a more complex track, the one on the praise of imperfection”.
“We couldn’t help but choose the most current track – other guys commented – because it allowed us to tell our world”.
State exam, which will continue tomorrow with the second test, the written test which aims to verify the students’ skills and knowledge in the disciplines characterizing each field of study.
