This time we have truly reached the last act of Virtus Ragusa’s very long season: tomorrow evening, Thursday, at 7.30pm the tap-off of game 3 for the match that will win them promotion to Serie B
The Americans would define it as a win or go home challenge. But the beauty of the promotion play-off between Virtus and Italservice Loreto Pesaro is much more: it is a challenge that could bring Virtus back to the National B stage, at a higher and more prestigious level.
It is a “prize” – without yet knowing the result – to the efforts and commitment made in ten months of matches and training, to the work of a scrupulous and professional staff, and to a group of boys who have learned to be a team and not intends to give up an inch. Until the last siren.
Winning would mean strengthening a bond with the city which has reached high peaks this season and which deserves to be sublimated by 40′ of cheering in the stands and energy on the pitch.
