The former sporting director of Avellino, Enzo De VitoPotenza’s sporting director for a few days, in an interview with Il Mattino spoke about the challenge against the green and whites in the next Lega Pro championship: “It will be exciting as always to find Avellino as an opponent again. Things could have gone better, it’s undeniable, but in the end nothing irreparable has happened. It’s football. It’s the past. My present and my future are called Potenza. A club with an organisation, an ethical and moral depth of another category declined other proposals because I was enchanted by how Potenza is structured and by the charisma of president Macchia. There is everything to do well. There is really nothing missing to grow calmly.”
On Pazienza, Perinetti and the ambitions of the wolves: “I have appreciated patience since the days of Serie D. With the director Perinetti and the president D’Agostino they have developed a level of internal and group knowledge which can be a great advantage from which to start again. The D’Agostino family deserves to see the their commitment to Avellino. I am convinced that by persisting they can do it. By maintaining most of the elements of the squad that finished second and in the playoff semi-finals, Avellino will be among the favorites to win the championship.”
