The Villa Adriana and Villa d’Este-VillÆ institute (Ministry of Culture), on 21 June each year, participates in the celebrations of the summer solstice with music. In the scenic Villa d’Este in Tivoli, a UNESCO site, a living organism of architectural and vegetal compositions, on 21 June at 11.30 am, exclusive concert by Mountain Top Strings of California, a small ensemble of string musicians ranging from 13 to 30 years old. The musical group, under the direction of the cellist and music teacher Sharon Rizzo, was created with the aim of educating young people to perform locally and tour abroad. There European Music Festival intends to enhance the multiplicity and diversity of live practices, for all genres of music, in the name of cultural union between countries and peoples.

Following numerous concerts and community events, MTSC has grown in popularity over the past 12 years, broadening the overall cultural vision and appreciation of the mountain community. MountainTop strings are best known for their unique performance across a wide range of eclectic musical styles. The repertoire consists of the baroque music of Vivaldi, Corelli, Bach, Sacred Music, but also American, Jazz, Rock and Folk music to create pleasant programs to share with many target audiences from all over the world”.
