Fire in Aversa: building material warehouse on fire, black cloud invades the city

Aversa. A large fire broke out this afternoon in a building material warehouse located in Viale Europa in Aversa, in the province of Caserta.

The flames, which developed around 12:00, quickly enveloped the warehouse, generating a dense black cloud that spread into the surrounding areas, invading homes and streets and making the air unbreathable.

Numerous reports from citizens triggered the alarm, and four fire brigade teams promptly intervened on site, coming from the Caserta provincial command, from the Aversa and Marcianise detachments and from the Naples command.

The teams, supported by three tankers, are battling the flames to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading further.

As a precaution, residents of nearby homes were invited to remain indoors, while the area was cordoned off by local police and law enforcement to allow safe firefighting operations and facilitate rescue operations.

At the moment, there is still no news on any injuries or the causes of the fire. The firefighters are carrying out the first investigations to establish the origin of the fire.
