Imola, 19 June 2024 – They drove around in cars with electronic equipment fake. Three men ended up in trouble, a 44-year-old, a 50-year-old and a 39-year-old, stopped by the police, tracked down by the cameras with the city’s license plate reading system.
Yesterday morning the agents of the Imola police station received a notification through “easy traffic”, of the passage of one through the municipal territory Fiat 500 Lreported as a rental car in use by individuals guilty of various crimes.
The plainclothes operators immediately arrived, following the vehicle in question with a man on board who was going to a bar in viale Amendola; these, after waiting for the arrival of a second car, a BMW with two other men; one of them, wearing a t-shirt with the SDA logo and a cap embossed with the Poste Italiane brand, resumed the run towards the Emilian capital.
Becoming suspicious, the officers stopped the vehicles. And here’s the surprise: inside there were various household appliances and electronic material with counterfeit brands: knives with the DMC logo imprinted on them, hairdryers with Dyson brandheadphones bearing the Apple company name, branded power banks iPhone battery pack, as well as sweatshirts and T-shirts imprinted with the SDA express courier logo.
The trio, unable to justify the provenance of the material, later admitted to sell these products to mislead citizens. The three, Italians, already burdened by police prejudice for crimes of the same nature, were reported to the judicial authority for introducing into the State and selling products with false signs in competition. For them, the start of the administrative procedure for the mandatory exit permit was also notified by the Municipality of Imola.
