Castellammare – The ban on bathing in via De Gasperi has been lifted

The stretch of sea in front of the municipal villa is under observation, for which the green light for diving could soon arrive.

The temporary ban on bathing on the Stabia coastline from Marina di Stabia to the Hotel Miramare has been lifted. The revocation order was signed today by the mayor Luigi Vicinanza after ARPAC communicated the results of the sampling carried out on 11 June in the area called “Sud Marina di Stabia” whose outcome determined the existence of bathing conditions .

The temporary bathing ban was signed by the prefectural commissioners last May 31st when Arpac itself, in consideration of the results of the water analyzes in this stretch of sea, had highlighted the presence of faecal pollutants and, for

so much so, the Palazzo Farnese body was asked to issue a consequent bathing ban.
After 15 days, therefore, Arpac repeated the water tests and this time the sea of the stretch from Marina di Stabia to the Miramare hotel was found suitable for bathing.

The situation on the coast of Castellammare di Stabia is certainly in the process of improvement but is not yet definitively consolidated. And in recent weeks there has also been talk of the recovery of the stretch of sea in front of the beach, an objective that has been pursued for years and which could soon materialize with the re-enactment of the bathing ban for this stretch of sea too.
