From 21 to 23 June, the Italian Touring Club celebrates its 130 years with “Aperti per Voi Sotto le Stelle”: a large widespread celebration that allows everyone to get to know and admire small and large treasures of our country.

Churches, palaces, monuments and archaeological areas will see extraordinary and evening openings, offering the opportunity to rediscover places and details in suggestive environments until sunset and beyond, waiting for the stars.
Discovering Palazzo San Giorgio and Palazzo Corrado Alvaro
In Reggio Calabria, on the occasion of “Aperti per Voi Sotto le Stelle 2024”, the volunteers of the Italian Touring Club will accompany visitors to discover theCouncil Chamber of Palazzo San Giorgio (Piazza Italia). Designed by Ernesto Basilethis room is richly furnished with chairs and the chair’s table, all made according to the architect’s original drawings.

Furthermore, volunteers will guide visitors to discover the Red Hall or Hall of Mons. Ferro of Palazzo Corrado Alvaro (Piazza Italia), designed by the architect Camillo Autore. Named after Monsignor Giovanni Ferro in 1966, this representative room has been restored to preserve its artistic splendor, including wall paintings, frames, stuccoes and noble furnishings.
Reservations and visit details
The volunteers of the Italian Touring Club, involved in the “Open for You” project in Reggio Calabria, will welcome visitors for both visits. For the occasion, the Territory Club of Reggio Calabria will be present with a reception point in Piazza Italia.
The Club thanks the Municipality of Reggio Calabria and the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria for their extraordinary participation in the “Open for You Under the Stars 2024” initiative.

What is Aperti per Voi Sotto le Stelle
«”Open for You Under the Stars” is the result of the long experience of the “Open for You” project of the Italian Touring Club which, since 2005, has been committed to spreading awareness that the heritage of our country is a shared good and that, therefore , it is everyone’s responsibility to take care of it”, explains a note from the association.
