sand in the skies of Tuscany

Florence, 19 June 2024 – Yellow sky in Tuscany. A phenomenon which had already affected a large part of the region in the days of March. The flow of desert dust makes the air muffled just as happened during Easter. This happens, explains the Lamma, because of the strong southerly winds which until next Friday, June 21st, will be stationed throughout the peninsula. For today, June 19th, the notable increase in dust in the lower altitudes has already been reported, while tomorrow will be the day of maximum intensity of the phenomenon which will begin to decrease on Friday.

At the same time the heat advances: today and tomorrow, according to forecasts, peaks of up to 38 degrees will be recorded.
