“Arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis”: a conference at ANEB Molfetta

According to an analysis of data collected by the Global Burden of Disease study, which examined the impact of various pathologies in the world from 1990 to 2019, cases of osteoarthritis in thirty years have increased by 113 percent and today they are almost 530 million , distributed mainly in high-income Western countries like ours.

The aging population and the obesity epidemic are mainly to blame, because advanced age and extra pounds contribute significantly to the wear and tear of the cartilage in the joints. However, other rheumatic pathologies are also constantly increasing.

Therefore, the ANEB (National Association of Meritorious Educators) Molfetta Section, chaired by prof. Michele Laudadioformer head teacher in comprehensive schools, always attentive and sensitive to people’s medical and social problems, thought it appropriate to organize a scientific conference on the topic “Arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis” that will take place Saturday 22 June 2024 at 6.30 pm in the registered office of the Association in Via Cap. De Candia n.90 in Molfetta and which will certainly interest young and old.

Speaker will be Dr Saint Schiraldioperating at the Rheumatology Clinic UOC Internal Medicine of the Di Venere Hospital in Bari, which will also illustrate through the projection of images not only the differences between these three pathologies but also the remedies to prevent and treat them.
