PESARO URBINO – Change at the top of the ANMIL (National Association of Mutilated and Invalids at Work) territorial of Pesaro and Urbino with Fausto Luzi who, last weekend, was elected to the Presidency for the next five years. For Luzi it is a “homecoming”, because in the last five years he has been busy in Rome as a member of the ANMIL National Executive Committee (with the demanding delegation to Heritage), a body chaired by the National President and of which they three Vice-Presidents and seven members elected by simple majority by the National Council.
Fausto Luzi takes over from Francesco Mazzacchera who assumed the provincial vice-presidency and was elected among the national councilors. «I thank the members who, once again, wanted to support me by placing their trust in me – comments Luzi -. Trust that I will repay with the utmost commitment to continue the Association’s incisive action on the provincial territory. Also in light of the latest serious events that have occurred in the province, it is necessary to vigorously continue protection and prevention activities, always remaining close to injured people, associates, workers, employers, social partners and institutions. This is the priority.”
Fausto Luzi has a long and successful career as an official in the Public Administration behind him. In 2010 he assumed the territorial Presidency of ANMIL and was reconfirmed unanimously at the end of each five-year period. He was also a National ANMIL Councilor and a member of the Board of Directors of the national ANMIL CAF. His solid experience within the Association led him, a few years ago, to be appointed as acting Commissioner pro-tempore of the ANMIL territorial headquarters in Perugia until the renewal of the elective bodies. For about 10 years he has been a member of the Provincial Advisory Committee (Co.Co.Pro.) INAIL Pesaro Urbino and of the working group established by the Prefecture for the “Promotion of legality and safety conditions in the workplace in relation to public works contracts and concessions”. and public service contracts in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino”.
During the years of its presidency, the Pesaro-based ANMIL conducted a series of high-profile institutional activities with the specific objective of combating the scourge of accidents at work and raising public awareness on such a delicate issue that concerns any area of society, no one excluded. From technical conferences to awareness-raising events, from interventions in institutional offices to days in schools to explain to young people, the workers of tomorrow, what weapons are available to combat accidents.
